Cobi Narita’s 100th Birthday Celebration

On what would have been Nobuko “Cobi” Narita’s 100th birthday, many people gathered at Saint Peter’s church for a night full of jazz music and stories to celebrate her everlasting legacy. Cobi was a lifelong advocate of jazz. She, alongside her husband Steve Ash, founded International Women of Jazz, an organization that focuses on empowering women in the jazz music industry. She also was one of the lead producers for many jazz festivals, rooms, and other performing institutions.
