Balínt Karosi Organ Recital

Dr. Bálint Karosi gave his first and only organ recital during his tenure as Cantor of Saint Peter’s. The program was a powerful showcase not only of Karosi’s artistry as a performer and composer, but also of his visionary work in shaping the newly redesigned Klais organ, transformed by C.B. Fisk in 2023.

Offering an expressive and deeply interpretive performance, Karosi presented a program that included works by Weckmann, Bach, Nishimura, Jongen, and a new work of his own. Each piece illuminated a different facet of the organ’s color and depth, drawing out its most compelling combinations in a space uniquely attuned to its voice.

Presented by the Arts and Architecture Conservancy, the recital affirmed our ongoing commitment to sacred music and architectural artistry. It was a night that not only celebrated a remarkable instrument, but also the imagination and dedication that brought it to life.
